Come spring of 2010, Odd Molly ”sun-days” eyewear will be available thru Odd Molly dealers and opticians worldwide. Opticians will also carry a special collection of odd molly frames for optical lenses. The design work of the eyewear line began in 2008 and is finally ready for launch. The b2b selling season has begun with a cut-off date at late august, and shipping is set at February of 2010.
The high quality designs are shaped and designed around the core cool metal pilot frame, aiming to be t-h-e pilot frame designer brand, then paired up with a series of forward plastic frames. in all, 29 different versions, including colour ways. Styles are named after famous female pilots, such as the “Erhart”, after Amelia Erhart, for the standard pilot rose frame.
All designs are flavoured with Odd Molly classic details such as the tie dye for the tip ends, the molly dollars, the little aphorisms hidden someplace on the inside, engraved roses and more, nothing too loud, but it´s there for the curious eye.
The name “sun-days” comes from the old classic fundementals of the odd molly designer clothing collections, which are all shaped around the “sunday feeling”. a day off, reward time, freedom from expectations. now just hyphen-added to underline the purpose of the shades.
